The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation
Free programs for New Jersey Teachers & Students, including the annual
Clearing the Spring, Tending the Fountain sessions and the biennial Dodge Poetry
Festival. Dodge also funds NJ teacher/artists accepted to the Fine Arts Work
Center in Provincetown, MA, the Vermont Studio Center and other summer programs.

Teacher Institutes
Four one week seminars for K-12 teachers on topics such as: A Reconsidered
Past: New Scholarship in African American History, Literature of Immigration,
Technology & Culture, Religious Diversity in America and more. Seminars
are held at Monmouth University and a $100 fee pays for tuition, room, board,
books, & field trips. Complete a mini paper and receive a $250 stipend.
Professional development credits will be awarded & Graduate credit is available
for an extra fee and a more intensive paper.

American Folklore and more to study with scholars at universities throughout
the US, Europe & Asia. Seminars are free and you will receive a stipend
up to $4,200 depending on the length of the program which ranges from 2 to
6 weeks. The Dodge Foundation will kick in up to $1,000 extra for travel expenses.
